As part of its Third Thursday programs, Los Altos History Museum invites the community to experience the vibrant world of Bharatanatyam with “Harmony in Motion: The Vishwa Shanthi Dance Experience,” 5:30-7:00 p.m. July 18.
This event features a live demonstration by students from the Vishwa Shanthi Academy, who will perform the intricate and expressive Indian classical dance form, Bharatanatyam, wearing traditional costumes. Shreelata Suresh, the academy’s artistic director, will share the history and deeper meanings behind the dance, providing a window into a rich cultural tradition.
