Shivoham Shivoham : I am Shiva

Group Dance: 60 minutes

This performance is a profound thematic tribute to Lord Shiva (Shivoham Shivoham), centered on the ultimate Hindu philosophy that “God is within me.” The evening is specially curated to honor MahaShivaratri, the Great Night of Shiva.

Through the art of Bharatanatyam, the program explores the many facets of the divine: from the philosophical oneness of Jeeva (life) and Shiva to the dramatic stories of the Chandra Chooda Varnam. Dancers depict Shiva’s heroic deeds—such as drinking the Halahala poison and conquering Death—alongside his roles as the ascetic, the householder, and the supreme dancer Nataraja. The recital culminates in the Ardhanarishwara Stotram, showcasing the inseparable male (Shiva) and female (Shakti) energies of the universe, offering the audience a powerful meditation on spiritual awakening and the presence of the divine self.
