Esteemed dancer, Dr. Apoorva Jayaraman, disciple of Smt. Priyadarsini Govind & Padmabhushan Smt. Kalanidhi Narayan, will present a unique lecture demonstration. In this presentation, she will showcase a selection of pieces to draw attention to the immense breadth and boundless diversity of emotional content that can be addressed in the Indian Classical Art Forms, motivating the idea of Abhinaya as a fundamental grammar that allows an artist to portray themes traversing the entire milieu of human emotions that transcends boundaries of language or culture.
