About Us
At Vishwa Shanthi Dance Academy, we move beyond the studios through our Enlighten initiative to serve as cultural ambassadors within our community. We bring the traditional art of Bharatanatyam to city and county festivals to garner interest and educate diverse audiences on India’s classical heritage. Our outreach includes formal lecture-demonstrations at local libraries and museums, as well as programs in schools designed to help students appreciate global traditions through the discipline of dance.
Our commitment to education extends to allied arts workshops that explore the connections between dance, music, rhythm (Tala), yoga, and costume. By collaborating with local musicians and visual artists, we create projects that celebrate our local community while staying rooted in classical tradition. Through these performances, lectures, and partnerships, Vishwa Shanthi ensures that the storytelling and technical essence of Bharatanatyam remains a vital part of the cultural landscape.
